It's a futuristic tactical turn-based sports game inspired by Gridiron with robots if that makes much sense. Frozen Endzone is another, it's only in Early Access phase on Steam but it's the same developers as Frozen Synapse. It's play-by-email is internal and you can take turns with notifications. Pretty sure that if you buy one copy, you get another to give to your friend too.

It's a great tactical turn-based game that's really competitive tense and engaging. But I'm looking for something more strategic and not so board game like. I know there are things like Scrabble, Word with Friends, Draw Something etc.

We normally play Chess by turn, but we are a bit over it so I wanted to ask if there are any games out there, either on PC or on mobiles, which let you play your turn and then wait for the other turn? Ie, both players don't have to be online at the same time. Hey all, I have a friend overseas that doesn't have a gaming PC (just a normal PC), and that also doesn't have time to sit down and do a proper gaming session (on top of that the time difference is difficult). Planetarion despite it being 'simple', That's what i want in a web browser game. Heh I wasn't aware online games like these were still about.
